This album was made during the pandemic. I first heard Nico’s music on James Heather’s show Moving Sounds, and I remember thinking it was amazing. Later, Nico asked me to add piano to some sketches he sent over. Together, we wanted to create a slowed-down sense of distance through layered sound textures. I recorded the piano several times and let it unfold in different stages of echo and reverb.

The collaboration was fully remote, yet the process felt natural and inspiring. It was really nice to bring our music together in this way.
