To celebrate Piano Day 2022, Nils Frahm's label, LEITER, released a compilation featuring thirty-two exclusive piano pieces from around the world. This piece was composed for the official Piano Day compilation.

This track is a set of piano layers led by a main piano theme where different parts form a mental dance in circles. "Runddans" is a Norwegian word for round dancing, but this term is also used to describe a never ending process of something that hardly reaches any resolution, for example an endless bureaucracy or psychological process. This piano piece felt like a dance to me and the title described very well what I was experiencing at the time.
